Wew are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of our community. This Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information in strict accordance with the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Withdrawing Consent: You have the right to withdraw your consent to our data collection or marketing tracks at any time. If you withdraw consent, we will stop processing your data, though this may limit your ability to access certain subscriber-only digital resources.

4. CASL Compliance

We strictly adhere to the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We will never send you a Commercial Electronic Message (CEM), such as promotional emails or marketing workflows, without your explicit, active consent.

  • No pre-Checked Boxes: When you sign up for our blog updates or digital products, any consent checkbox to receive ongoing marketing communications will be left blank by default. You must actively check it to opt-in.
  • The Unsubscribe Mechanism: Every automated email sent by Fable & Foundry includes a clear, immediate, and fully functional “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom. Unsubscribe requests are processed automatically and honoured within 10 business days as required by law.
  • Sender Identification: All electronic communications will explicitly identify Fable & Foundry as the sender and include our contact email.

5. Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention

  • No Selling of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
  • Third-Party Service Providers: We only share your data with trusted cloud-based tools necessary to run our website (such as the website host and email marketing platform). These providers are contractually bound to apply equivalent privacy protections to your data.
  • Retention: We only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected (e.g., as long as you remain an active subscriber to our blog). If you unsubscribe or request data deletion, your personal records will be securely deleted, destroyed, or permanently anonymized within a reasonable timeframe.
